Route
The dream is to get to South Africa, but we're slow, and have no longer than a year, so we'll see where we get too. Use the buttons below to toggle between the planned and actual routes.
Planned Route
Notes on the Route
Before you ask... why the planned gap over Nigeria and Cameroon? We'll assess these countries in more detail as we near them, but they do sound dodgy. There's currently a civil war on the cameroonian side of the Nigerian border. Also, if we skip them, the chances of us making it down to South Africa in a year are higher. Another also, the price of the flight is cheaper than the combined visa costs for the two countries. Sounds like a win-win to me.
Collecting the GPS Data
To track our route, Will's built a GPS tracker that takes GPS and temperature readings 15 times a day. It's called Robert John Bardo. Meet Robert.I will insert an image here once it is ready.
